A Day in the Life

  • Attend and facilitate post award meetings for informed transition from sales to operations.
  • Establish and continually update job schedule, site requirements, etc. with GC and foreman.
  • Effective communication with field operations and purchasing coordinator.
  • Coordinate the flow of work to meet site schedules.
  • Attend weekly production meetings.
  • Communicate all aspects of job status i.e. extras, schedule delays, etc. with client.
  • Negotiate extras for all applicable revisions and prepare necessary documentation (internal and external).
  • Coordinate issuance of all contracts or purchase orders to subs.
  • Coordinate the investigation and resolution of disputes, defects, and back charges.
  • Follow-up with on-site problems with foremen and clients.
  • Attend jobsite meetings including final inspections, where possible or necessary.
  • Monitor and approve subcontract invoices.


What We Are Seeking

  • Approve close-out of projects and ensure all invoices have been issued.  
  • Obtain percentage complete on each project for month end billing and reporting.
  • Act as the representative for time, cost, and general overall project performance and is responsible for promoting close and harmonious relations with the client and design consultants.  
  • Communicate daily with assigned site foremen to ensure production expectations are achievable and all barriers to success are removed through coordination of additional resources or communication with the client and other trades.  
  • Attend bid reviews and turn-over meetings with foremen to advise on labor requirements and production challenges.
  • Order and facilitate delivery of smaller items as required.
  • Proactively determine equipment needs on site and coordinate their delivery.
  • Assist in the hiring and separation of field employees through interviews, performance reviews, and termination meetings.
  • Prior to site mobilization, review any questions or concerns on the drawings and details and ensure all information is passed along to the site foremen and other required parties regarding start, direction of work, efficient job site setup, production expectations and installation methods.  
  • Communicate material order and delivery times with site foremen.  
  • Schedule off-loading and crane requirements.
  • Work with the foreman to ensure Flynn follows the QA/QC Program. 
  • Work the foreman to identify any potential extras to the contract.  Pass info to the estimators.  
  • Ensure with foreman that all deficiencies are being completed on an ongoing basis and that all final deficiency reports are cleaned up ASAP.  Submit documentation to the client for release of final payment.  
  • Attend site meetings as required to ensure all applicable information is communicated to Flynn parties.  

Desired Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction experience in a supervisory capacity within the Commercial Roofing industry. 
  • Highly motivated and organized individual
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as individually.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
