Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

Job Summary

Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for using cutting edge research techniques to seek out top level talent to enrich our organization.  This will be achieved through innovative sourcing strategies and use of the latest networking resources.  The experienced and well versed in traditional recruiting techniques, the Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist will be a flexible thinker and a dynamic constant learner who is able to incorporate groundbreaking techniques in actively seeking out the best people in the applicable fields and making them a part of our team.  He/She will act as an ambassador for our organization and will be able to recognize exceptional individuals with strong leadership qualities.  Pro-active individual with a pulse on the  recruiting world while maintaining an extensive, up-to-date database of high qality candidates who can be called upon as needs arise.  This role will play a critical role in developing and implementing recruitment strategies that will ensure the organizatiojn is hiring the best possible talent for both current and future roles in the organization.  


  • Identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications and skillset criteria with the Management Team
  • Recruit applicants for open positions, making public presentations regarding the organization and job opportunities; coordinate staff participation, setup and work at job fairs (post COVID)
  • Become an advisor to management on organizing, preparing, and implementing recruiting and retention programs.
  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the recruitment team, specifically junior talent acquisition specialists.  
  • Coordinate the activities of the recruitment team in order to maintain efficiency and obtain organizational goals.
  • Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups, and employees
  • Lead the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for open positions.
  • Conduct regular follow up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.
  • Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of actual needs.
  • Build networks to find qualified passive candidates.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting 
  • Utilize social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates and document resources.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of recruitment experience.
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • SPHR/PHR  preferred.
  • Innovative thinker, able to use and develop new sources for recruitment.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
  • Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively with different managers, candidate personalities, etc.
  • Good training, coaching, and active listening skills are essential
  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and employees.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet departmental targets.
  • Innovative and dynamic thinker with proven leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated, strong analytical skills and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
