Manufacturing Logistics Coordinator

The Manufacturing Logistics Coordinator, under the leadership of the Manufaturing Operations Manager, will assist with coordinating shipments for the Flynn Manufacturing Supply Chain. The successful candidate need to have familiarity with transport equipment, and knowledge of load configurations for various size trailers. 

A Day in the Life

  • Work with the Supply Managerment and team to support Flynn Manufacturing shipment requirements. Liaise with Branch Administrators, Shippers, Project Coordinators to facilitate coordination of Shipments in all modes within the Supply Chain maintaining on-time delivery.
  • Tracking and tracing of shipments (Air, Ocean, Intermodal Rail, Trucking) and updating the Shipment tracking log in a timely manner.
  • Scheduling shipments with Flynn National Network transportation Carriers ensuring regulatory compliance is maintained.
  • Able to process courier shipments with various approved Flynn National Couriers, FedEx, DHL Purolator, UPS on their network portals.
  • Coordinating deliveries to Warehouse & Storage trailers.
  • Preparation of Import & Export customs documentation to streamline the flow of goods across international borders and through customs.
  • Assist with USMCA Certificates renewal and addition updates and duty refunds assessment claims.
  • Audit & reconcile Freight Invoices with PO quoted rates.
  • Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with the Flynn Team.
  • Must be able to work from 7am-4pm Monday-Friday.

What We Are Seeking

  • Minimum 5 years of Logistics experience in Supply Chain, manufacturing or 3PL distribution environment.
  • Certifications in CCLP, CIFFA or CSCB would be an asset.
  • Knowledgeable in transportation regulations, laws, policies, various types of transportation equipment specifications to optimize shipments. 
  • Experience with customs clearance process, Certificates of Origin.
  • Experienced with Truckload, LTL & Flatbeds, Intermodal Operations, and load plan optimization.
  • Experienced with National Motor Freight Classification, all types of transportation equipment specifications for land, Rail, Ocean, and Air Shipments and calculate volumetric rates.
