Assistant Project Manager - Architectural Metals

Job Summary

Flynn is looking for a highly talented and motivated Architectural Metals Assistant Project Manager to join our growing operation in Salt Lake City, UT. This is a great opportunity to have an immediate impact on operational efficiency. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with our internal operational team while learning and developing quickly in the role.


  • Attend all regular Scheduling, Forecast, and Project Management meetings
  • Attend Estimator/PM hand-off meetings, PSA/Safety Hand-off Meetings, Project Meetings and Site Visits with Project Manager for assigned projects
  • Compile Submittal Product Data sheets, including a standardized cover/index sheets, to be finalized by the Project Manager for assigned projects. As part of the safety submittals, compile SDS sheets
  • Assist Project Manager in material buy-out processes to be finalized by the PM for assigned projects
  • If required, assist in putting together QA/QC Plans and Mfg. install requirements for the Field on assigned projects
  • Assist Project Manager in writing and submitting RFI’s as needed
  • Assist in compiling warranties, closeout documents, and LEED information for assigned projects. Close-out submittals to be finalized by PM
  • As necessary, update electronic shop drawings & contract documents for the Field & PMs

Desired Qualifications

  • 4-year degree in Construction Management or related field of study
  • Previous experience and/or internship working as a field engineer, project engineer/ coordinator, assistant project manager, or similar (*experience with self-performed work is a plus)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, efficient, and detail oriented
  • Positive team player
