Service Training and Development Specialist

The Learning & Development department is a close knit team who’s favourite thing in the world is creating engaging learning content and being a part of the transformational change initiatives that we champion here at Flynn. This position reports to the Learning & Development Manager (Latoya Francis) and will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects as we support a growing company. We’re looking for someone who can really hit the ground running and help one of our largest business sectors with their training needs. You’ll be working closely with our International Service department as they begin to shift their training to a more sustainable approach. Here's what your day as a Service Training and Development Specialist looks like:

  • ​​​​​​Design and develop creative and interactive learning content through videos, presentations, animations, and interactive eLearning
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to understand content and update existing training resources
  • Schedule and deliver training for our International Service Operations via live web conferencing using Microsoft Teams
  • Project manage learning initiatives by defining plans, adhering to timelines and facilitating implementation
  • Provide ongoing support and refresher training as required
  • Ensure all learning content is updated on a regular basis to reflect current program, process and technology changes
  • Work with tight deadlines and provide innovative input on current training procedures to enhance and customize training processes for the Service department
  • Assist in maintaining SuccessFactors Learning, Talent & Performance platforms
  • Ensure consistent Service training messaging across our Canadian and US operations
  • Provide advice to stakeholders on challenges, assess performance gaps and recommend solutions
  • Support the Learning and Development Manager on all workplace change and training initiatives as required

Here's what you bring to the table:

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field, such as Human Resources or Business Administration
  • Minimum three years of experience designing, developing and delivering learning and development programs
  • Advanced working knowledge of Camtasia, Articulate or other eLearning authoring tools
  • Advanced experience working with Learning Management Systems. Experience with SAP SuccessFactors Learning is an asset
  • Technology savvy and able to pick up new products and processes with ease
  • Exceptional team player with strong customer service orientation
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) is an asset
