The Role

This position will be based out of our Denver, CO location, reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager in Denver, CO. The Field Recruitment Specialist sources and screens field talent for mulitple branches across the U.S. We play a vital role is staffing the business properly and partnering with our hiring managers to ensure we are sending top quality talent to them as needed. This role ensures each branch has enough Commercial Roofers, Commercial Architectural Metals Installers, Commercial Roofing Service Technicians and a variety of other field positions. 

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for managing the recruitment process from creating requisitions to hire, sourcing and screening candidates, participating in interviews, checking references and all other relevant aspects of field recruitment. This is the primary focus and daily responsibility for the field recruitment specialist.
  • Develop recruitment strategies and plans by conducting research and analyzing data and internal field workforce forecasts.
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing recruitment strategies to effectively source and recruit specific skill sets with external agencies such as industry associations, post-secondary institutions, and immigrant service organizations.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new and existing recruitment initiatives such as career fairs, targeted advertising, utilization of agencies etc. to maximize the pool of potential candidates.
  • Working in collaboration with the HR team to ensure that recruitment processes are developed, implemented, communicated and delivered in support of the approved staffing plans.
  • Work with Branch Managers and Regional HR Managers to ensure that field recruitment objectives are mutually established and met.
  • Understand hiring manager’s needs and build internal relationships.
  • Coach and advise the supervisors/managers on employment law pertinent to staffing practices in various states.
  • Manage some aspects of posting of field postings.
  • Report on field recruitment activities and prepare & review labor force requirements with each client group.
  • Maintain and update applicant database/spreadsheet.

Who You Are

  • Experience in the Construction industry is a distinct asset.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is required for this role. 
  • 1-3 years recruiting experience required, preferably in trades industries with high volume staffing needs. 
  • 3-5 years in people centric role required.
  • 3-5 years experience working with Microsoft programs, internet-based database systems, SuccessFactors or other Tier 1 systems.
